Located only an eight minute walk from the Gladstone SEPTA regional line and six miles from Center City Philadelphia. Kent Mills Arts will exemplify transit-oriented development.

Kent Mills is expected to draw young artists and craftspeople from both the nearby college graduates and Center City offering loft residences and studio spaces for artists and makers in the fashionably restored mill building with exposed heavy timbers and huge windows.

The 120-year-old brick mill buildings will be reborn to include a 75 family loft residential building and four soaring truss framed buildings of 21,000 square feet as maker and art work spaces.

Maintaining the charm of an industrial relic, Kent Mills will reinvent itself as a center for creative exchange that engages and spurs the growth of Clifton Heights.

Kent Mills will produce and host cultural events and exhibitions and become a new destination for both creatives and adjacent communities.

All the campus structures have been reclaimed rather than rebuilt, respecting the buildings’ original identity to showcase its industrial character. Inside, the raw expanses of the buildings remain intact but improved by high-quality lighting, climate-controlled environment, secure spaces, and open areas designed specifically for artists, fabricators, and other creative entrepreneurs.
